Floor Pour Scheduled ~ 3/29/19

Weather permitting, the floor of the Minnesota Reservoir is scheduled to be poured this Friday, March 29th, starting at 5am. The anticipated schedule for the day will be:5:00 am - 5:30 am Crews on site, preparing for the day
5:45 am - 6:00 am Concrete trucks will begin arriving and staging for the first pour
6:00 am - 2:00 pm Concrete trucks will continue to pour - 24 trucks bringing approximately 240 cubic yards of concrete will be poured during this time
2:00 pm - 8:00 pm Concrete finishers will be working and floating the concrete
8:00 pm - 11:00 pm Concrete will continue to set and will then be covered for the night*
*If all goes well, it is possible that the crews will be done by 8 pm
The concrete trucks will be backing into the site and that will mean that their back up alarms will be heard starting before 6 am on Friday. Concrete trucks will stage along Englewood Hill Drive if necessary.
Due to limited space at the reservoir site, constuction crews will be parking off site and will be shuttled to the work site.
All crew members and truck drivers have been reminded to slow down and be watchful since they are in a residential neighborhood.

SPRING IS HERE!

SPRING HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! With the departure of our winter snow and the arrival of warmer weather, construction has started again at the Minnesota Reservoir Site. Crews on site are getting ready for the monolithic pour. The actual one day pour date will be chosen from the following possible pour dates of March 27th, March 28th, March 29th, April 1st or April 2nd. (Once the actual date is selected, it will be published here.) On this day work will begin at 5 AM and will complete around 11 PM. It is anticipated that there will be approximately 24 trucks that will carry 240 cubic yards of concrete that will be poured for the floor.Want receive emails when new posts are made?
