City of Yakima Utility Tax Increase – Effective June 1, 2026
Nob Hill Water customers within the City of Yakima will see an increase in their water bill beginning June 1, 2026, due to a 4% utility tax increase approved by the City of Yakima.
This increase is not due to a rate change by Nob Hill Water. The utility tax is mandated by the City, collected as part of your bill, and remitted directly to the City of Yakima. Nob Hill Water does not retain or benefit from these funds.
What to expect:
Customers within city limits will see a higher total bill due to the additional 4% tax.
Customers outside city limits are not affected.
We understand that increases in utility costs can be impactful and are committed to keeping you informed. If you have questions about this change or how it affects your bill, please contact our office or the City of Yakima.
Important Update: Nob Hill Water will implement a new tiered rate structure effective April 1, 2026.
